Gates of the City is the leadership training academy of the Tree of Life Family. It is a powerful set of modules on Saturday mornings that will inspire you to dream big, challenge you to live your dreams and help you be the leader you have always dreamed of being. This will start Saturday 13th January 2024.

You can attend the whole year, or pick the modules that interest you the most, whether you are in formal leadership positions or not. To attend Gates of the City Leadership Academy, you must be a minimum of 16 years old.

How to start a message well, how to finish a message well, how to structure your message, illustrate your points with power and how to minister the Word in a way that genuinely helps people.

NOTE: this course is for pastors, directors and elders in the Tree of Life Family of churches only. Our courses below are open to anyone.

In this course, using the School of the Spirit material from Marcus Wick, we will go deep into what the Word of God teaches about the spiritual gifts, examining the gifts of the Spirit, the ministrations of the Spirit and the fivefold ministry. This will equip you to flow in the gifts to a greater measure and become a more committed and contributing member of the body of Christ.

NOTICE: there are 18 sessions in part 1, and 38 sessions in total. This is a very comprehensive course, and will run nearly every Saturday in 2024. We also hope to have some session with Marcus live. Watch this space!

Following Andrew Wommack's material on race and racism, this course will help you understand the roots and solution to the issue of racism. It's going to be challenging and very powerful, but help us be a church full of the nations! This course will start on Saturday 13th January at 10.30am (slightly later time to enable us to fully discuss the teachings on the spiritual gifts) and will last 13 sessions.

Two common, ineffective approaches that people use are attacking and defending. You will often see the issue of racism politicized. People will attack and label anyone who does not support a particular political agenda as racist. You will also see people getting defensive and claiming that they aren’t racist because their ancestors never owned slaves. However, as Christians, we know a better way to approach the issue.

Since racism is a sin issue, the only cure is Jesus.

Jesus came to change the condition of our hearts. As Christians, we no longer have the sin nature of Adam but the perfect nature of Christ, and we can now love others the way He loves us. In other words, you have the power through Christ to unify a divided nation and change the social climate!
