Whilst synagogues in Israel read from the prescribed scriptures, a Rabbi in Nazareth chose a different text. He read it, breathed life into it then sat down. Like an alabaster jar that was broken to release its perfume, on that day in that synagogue, the ancient text from the Prophet Isaiah was unveiled to release a life-giving fragrance.
